Children’s Museum of Houston
Houston offers all its visitors great options to spend an unforgettable holiday, has options for all kinds of tastes in order for everyone to have fun. As the main city in Texas, it is the first city selected by travelers for sightseeing, so it’s important to have attractions for all family members, including the little ones at home.
If you’re traveling with children, we know that finding attractions where they have fun isn’t a very simple thing; it always leads to a boring quest to find one place. That’s why we give you the solution to this problem and bring you the perfect place to take the little ones: Children’s Museum of Houston.
The Children’s Museum of Houston is a dedicated space for children, has more than 90,000 square feet where different practical and interactive exhibitions are presented, was founded in 1980, and has since been the mission of presenting children with learning in a fun way.
Permanent exhibitions
The museum offers more than 5 types of exhibits, below we will talk about some of the most fun.
- Kidtropolis: they present a small town where children can start a business, find a job, and choose their peers for the government, this is a children’s city ruled by children. This in order for the child to know how the world works when he or she is an adult.
- PowerPlay: Dedicated to enacting children’s health, physical activity, and understanding that exercise is fun, they’ll be able to climb towers, climb and lower different levels, and have their own research on how their body reacts to movement and physical activity.
- Cyberchase: in this area is shown good and evil, presenting a hacker who wants to take control of the world and children can be the hero, always making use of mathematics in a fun way.
- The workshop of the invention: here children will be able to create, invent, and design the gadget they want, all the tools go hand in hand with science, robotics, engineering, and art. The purpose is for children to understand that creating is possible and that only imagination is required.
- EcoStation: This exhibition that we highly recommend visiting, in this children will be able to experience how actions impact the environment and learn what to do to make a difference in their community.
