The Houston Zoo is located at 6200 Hermann Park Drive. Its schedule is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is open 7 days a week, please note that reservations must be made online and guests must arrive at the schedule that was assigned, otherwise you will not enter the established group, this schedule is only for entry you can stay inside the museum until you wish.

Things to do on your visit to the Houston Zoo

This zoo is one of the most visited in the nation, here are some fun things to do on your visit.

Feed the giraffes: the schedule is usually at 11 am and at 2 pm, visitors go to the platform and give a tasty snack to the giraffes, take advantage of seeing from there the ostriches and zebras. The food costs $7 and is purchased near where the giraffes are located, right in the southwest of the zoo.

Visit the gorillas: in this case, you won’t have to buy an extra ticket, the gorillas are located in the Africa Forest section, this one has two outdoor areas and a night house where they rest. You will be able to observe seven gorillas from the Western lowlands.

Participate in “naturally wild” exchanges: This is special for children under the age of 18, they will be able to take items they find in nature such as rocks, plant materials, and clean shells or also photos of nature and take it to the Naturally Wild exchange store, where they can learn about what they took and earn points to exchange for products. This shop is located on the west side of the zoo and its schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm.
